Story of the artwork
The sun’s rays fall on the scorching sand, and I feel a sense of joy as I step into the sea to cool off on a hot day. I let myself be carried away by the rolling waves. In the sky, scattered clouds drift by, forming shapes of wings. Soon they transform into the silhouette of a whale, its fins, and then into another shape in the sky, and my stream of thoughts knows no end. That strange feeling as if someone were watching over you from high above the whole time. They see your unbridled joy as you frolic in the waves, splashing water all around you with the children. A blissful feeling of rest and playfulness - that is what the body wants to remember. I close my eyes, and this memory resurfaces and comes alive again; the body is still swaying in the sea.
